“Laukalaane is a 4.83 hectares farmland plot on Hiiumaa, the second largest island of Estonia. The land is located in the extreme south of the island. The field is used to grow the classical crops we find on Estonian plots (cereal crops, potatoes), and grass when left in fallow. Hiiumaa is mainly covered with forest and farm fields due to its low density. Less than 10000 people live on the island. It's known to be a haven of peace and quiet, drawing significant financial resources from sustainable tourism activities during spring and summer. The environment is protected within the Tahkuna Nature and West Estonian Archipelago Biosphere reserves.”
